Acupressure

Is the application of finger pressure or needles to designated points on the body in an effort to release blocked energy and return internal balance to the body. Chinese tradition believes that all people possess a life energy called chi, which flows through them along invisible pathways called meridians. Acupoints are connected by the meridians which serve much like ‘highways’ extending into the organs of the body. The free flow of chi is necessary for health and balance. When chi becomes blocked at various points in the body due to illness, trauma, injury, emotional stress, poor nutrition, or poor posture, the result can be disease, pain, or other symptoms.

Approximately 350 acupoints that have been identified on the body is an energy conductor. By applying pressure to these points can unblock ‘stalled’ energy flow and provide relief.

Acupressure and Acupuncture is especially helpful in relieving pain, such as back pain, arthritis, and headache , and other ailments, including asthma, constipation, fatigue, nausea, and motion sickness.
